We are happy to announce that we have made arrangements for Brian Hall, former World Cup veteran referee and director of referee administration for CONCACAF, to present several sessions of interest to referees to include discussions about correct positioning, game management and the importance of the pre-game.

We are also pleased that our own Bill Dittmar, National level referee and MLS referee, will share what he knows about the secrets to guaranteed success as a referee.

George Vergara, our State Referee Administrator, will outline the plans for a referee mentoring program in our state and will be assisted by Bill Dittmar who will provide mentoring advice using five Yoda quotes as they relate to the journey of the soccer referee.

On Friday night, VYSA will recognize various award winners including their choices for Male and Female Young Referee of the Year. This year, honors will go to the following:

Young Male Referee of the Year – Daniel Carroll
Young Female Referee of the Year – Lexi Hodgson
