Referee Coach/Mentor Resources

For a Regional Referee who is not using the assessment to fulfill maintenance requirements, do we mark Maintenance or Development for purpose?

  1. Ref Eval now allows for developmental reports.  So going forward, we will use that for the Pre-upgrade assessment for the Regionals.
  2. If a Regional Referee has fulfilled the requirement for maintenance of the Regional Referee license, it can be marked as a developmental.

If we are doing a pre-upgrade (practice) upgrade for the referee with an AR who is trying to upgrade, do we still do the report only in OMS?

No, we will now report it in Ref Eval since we have the ability to specify the type/purpose for each member of the crew.

For a Referee who is not a Regional, do we select Regional for type (given the only choices are Regional and National) then select Development for purpose?

Yes, that is what we will do. You will also need to note that in the write-up language as well.

Will there be a US Soccer issue with reports going into RefEval with upgrade AR assessments for referees advancing to Regional?

No. There should be no issue.
